With a ½" solid steel plate door, 3 large 1" locking bolts, a spring-loaded relocker, and a carburized hard plate, this safe proudly carries the UL RSC burglary rating. Its 3 ½" thick door and 2 ½" composite body make forced entry nearly impossible, while the inner composite material adds exceptional fire resistance.

Tested by UL, the BF1716 provides 60 minutes of fire protection at temperatures up to 1700°F, keeping the interior under 350°F. A special expandable door seal further protects against smoke and heat intrusion.
